Special ItemsUnlike some Wikis, we are trying to keep a very structured, more book-like format to the material here. As a result, only editors can create new pages. New pages are carefully mapped into one or more of the existing books. If you find the need to create new pages often, think about becoming an editor and not just a registered contributor.TikiWiki Hotwords are enabled. This allows often-appearing key terms to be automatically linked. This is why you are seeing linked words in the preview or final page that you did not add Wiki links for. If there is a word you think should be defined as a Hotword, let the administrator know. It is the convention in the Wiki world to only allow links to other pages within the Wiki. Links that would take you outside the Wiki are specially called out as External Links and placed at the end of the page in a named section. You should avoid using links with full URL's with http:// except in an External Link section. Search Engine Friendly (SEF) ur Wiki page links, if not automatic, are coded with double parenthesis ((WikiLink)) whereas external links have single square brackets [http://ExternalLink.org/] . Both allow the link and the text that appears for the link to be specified, using a vertical bar ( | ) to separate them. For example, the simple Wiki Link to this page could be ((Special Items)) whereas the External Link might look like [http://aysowiki.org/Special+Items|Special Items] . See the page SEF URLs for a complete listing of the translations available. You can insert any printable character into the page by putting the Octal code for it between tilde characters. For example, here is a copyright symbol © obtained by using ~169~ . There are some special, predefined names independent of the code set chosen. For example, you can force a horizontal space with ~hs~ . See TikiWiki codepage
