Looking up volunteers outside your region

There is often a need to find a volunteer that is not in your region. Maybe you are trying to check their pre-requisite certifications for a course. Or you are trying to help them get through the process of registering and need to find where they went wrong by finding their record not appearing in your region. Whatever the case, as long as the purpose is official and part of your function in the organization, there is a way.

Technique
This is limited to Regional Commissioners and anyone they give the CVPA access rights too. Note that by default RC's do not have CVPA access rights. But they can give them to others, including themselves. So in reality, this is limited to those with CVPA access rights. Because of this, RC's should be careful about providing this access except to those that can be trusted and known to be honorable. Giving access to volunteers outside your region is not something those volunteers are expecting or desire. Please use the CVPA access for only those purposes to find a specific volunteer in question to help them over a rough spot in the registration process.

Once you have CVPA access rights, you can use the main CVPA menu item in the top toolbar. Do a search for registered as well as unregistered volunteers. You are not usually caring if they are "flagged" for these purposes. Once you find them in the list below, click on their name to see their information to help resolve your issue. Technically, you can edit and change their information (but not the region or training certifications). But this should never be done unless you are their regions CVPA doing your trained, official business. All database changes and access is logged. Abuse will not be tolerated.
